Facts About Cheap Cosmetics

Cheap Cosmetics doesn't mean cheaper quality

Women don’t have to spend a ton on makeup to look good, though the high end cosmetic companies would have us think so. Many lower-end (pricewise) cosmetics are made at the same factories that the high end labels are made at in many instances it’s the same exact makeup, with a different label on the container.

There is some fantastic ‘cheap makeup’ out there. The trick is to find the ones that work for you in achieving the look you desire.

At the drugstore, look for items that are similar to your higher end brands. For instance if you are in love and use a $30 mascara, look at the drugstore for mascara that has the same exact wand and give it a try for less than $10.

e.l.f which stands for Eyes, Lips, Face is an online cosmetic retailer that sells most all it’s makeup for $1. Yes, $1. They recently came out with a ‘higher end’ line that is $5 or $6 only. They have incredible makeup brushes that rival any high end brush. They have fantastic sales also, all the time. Give them a try with a few products; after all, you really have nothing to lose. Be sure to check out their nail polishes, they are great, for $2 a bottle.

Avon has amazing skin care products, for less than high end brands. Though they are not dirt cheap, they do the job well and are affordable and getting Avon is easy for everyone. If you don’t have an ‘Avon Lady’, you can log onto Avon’s site and order yourself.

Mineral makeup, which burst onto the scene about 10 years ago, is absolutely amazing for the color choices, staying power and price. Finding a blend that works for you can be tricky at times, but almost every mineral company offers trial sizes and samples that are either free or you just pay shipping. Mineral makeup is good for your skin and the colors they offer are outstanding. Many offer clones of high end brands as well. The staying power is unbeatable also and you never look overdone or too ‘made up’ if you prefer a more natural look. Mineral makeup has a small learning curve, you have to buff it onto your skin, but it’s simple to learn and well worth the effort. Mineral makeup prices can’t be beat, you can usually get a large jar of foundation, that will last at least 6 months for around $10.

Don’t discount cheaper cosmetics, as a cheaper price doesn’t mean cheaper quality.

Yes most people do look for the price range they can afford

I find it is good to spend money on some cosmetics such as eyeliner. Other things like blush don't need to be high end.

Your article is filled with wisdom. I look for bargains, but use very little make up since I believe it closes my pores.

I have been interested in trying mineral makeup. Thanks for giving me more information about it
